Meet The Staff
Sapphire Vendermarwe
Okay so let meet the one who helps out all, when her hands aren't tied down to other chores.
Sapphire is a very distinctive person. She likes to be childish and irritates alot of people, well behind closed doors that it. She cannot focus correctly, she is un-tamed by nature. She however every extremely intelligent, even for her own good. Her mind thinks a million thoughts per second, she never shuts off, continuesly striving to improve, striving to make all around her happy. She isn't the best at it, but she can try. Her computer consumes her. She is always away doing things when she should be tending to horses, but sapphire knows no bounds and beleives that she will multi task in that situation.
Sapphire never had a child hood as such. She worked and lived on a farm back in south africa. It was her dream. She was born and bred a south african boer, standing proud to her heritige and culture. Sapphire then moved away not of choice to the United kingdom. At the age of 13 she was to be taught english, she was to be taught the new system and laws.
Sapphire broke down and went into foster care and couldn't handle it. She continued though to pursue her long life dream. She had been in and out of forster care homes, she then eventually settled at 15 in a new home that she could once again call home, be part of a real family and pursue happiness. Sapphire went along and moved back into South Africa aged 18, where she moved back in with the auntie and uncle. It was a troubled start, with hiccups occuring, but Sapph never went down, she never gave in, she always stood her ground and tried everything she could to pursue living back on that farm.
Although she moved there at 18 and was happily settled she was missing one thing from her life that nothing could complete to make things perfect. She was missing that one man. So sapphire knew finding love was going to be difficult for a working, farming woman as herself. So Sapphire decided to get back on the plane and fly out to the United Kingdom again. She arrived at heathrow and saw a man dressed in what only could be described as a uniform of some sort. Sapphire avoided him, but he staggered slowley along the terminal entrance. Only to see her closer, he dropped a little hint as to how he likes to game. Sapphire turned and conversation started. She then decided to let things flow.
And that was Ryan. Ryan is now in partnership with Sapphire on the Equine Center.
Dr. Weston Lesko
Equine Vetrenarian & School Master. He was riding before he was an equine vet, still holding strong, knowing his paces and balancing well in the saddle. He goes by the name of Dr Weston Lesko, coming from Lesko is a somewhat befuddled and misguided man. Deep inside Marigold station, he carries out his research, completely oblivious. He has little patience for anything beyond his scientific acumen and dismisses his failures as only temporary obstacles on the road to success. While his motivation is to save dying breeds and learn more about them, his methods are in fact proving to be useful in the equine community and have shown great success to aspiring future vets. Lesko also brags about his names origin which to this day he stands proud of.
Names origin: I have you know my name is very well know "Dr. Lesko shares his name with the protagonist of the 1974 environmental horror film Phase IV which features scientists in a battle against mutated ants."
Again like we said....very proud.....
Not much is known of his past, he just arrived teh one fine day at The Sierra Madre and asked for work, so we looked into his reference's and since The Sierra Madre is on an isolated island, we where very skeptical about his work seeing as he decided to travel a great distance just to go look for work. So after doing some research on this man we felt it was comfortable to hire him. Eventually he settled in and went for a nice stroll around the facilities checking out what we had to offer.
Ryan Hedges
Okay so meet, Ryan Hedges. He is in partnership with The Sierra Madre. Visiting time to time checking how the horses are being kept, he also helps with minor mess ups on the yards. Making sure that all the staff are accounted for and helps with tack and logo refferals. He is a very stubborn man who likes to get things done with perfection. He is very intelligent in a sense of he knows his english and will always correct Sapphire where needed.
Ryan tends to be a bit innapropriate when visitng, like he decides when things should be done or not. He tends to pull on pranks on Simon "Sly". Ryan likes to chill about and make himself comfortable when visitng, riding a few horses when he can and teaching some young riders to help them if they ever decide to join in the racing industry. He also manages the accounting when things go wrong, since Sapphire isn't the best when it comes to numbers.
He can be very quiet and shy when meeting new people, tends to get nervous incase he offends. He does not mind flying over to the South of The Sierra madre once a month or two, so he can visit Sapphire when he is not busy tending to his own establishment. He eats Sapphire out of house and home sometimes and lounges around on the PC when its late evening and nothing on the yard needs to be done. When he is at home he becomes irritated with his own staff sometimes, only because he is the only one qualified to run most of the facility and does so in a constructive manor. Being also part of the RAF he always works on shift so he cannot always be at the yard so it gets difficult for him to communicate and trust his staff to their full potential in knowing how the establishment should be run.
All in all Ryan is a respectable gentlemen who only knows so much himself, but he does try to over come issues with his yard by asking Sapphire for assistance since Boethiah's Vale Center is running in partnership along side The Sierra Madre.
